Terms of Service
Last updated: August 27, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Parachute Bot Trader platform ("Service") operated by Private Parachute, Inc. ("Parachute," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service — including by submitting the interest form, completing checkout, or accepting these Terms during onboarding — you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description
Parachute provides automated trading software that executes trades on your own Kalshi account using your own Kalshi API credentials. The Service is non-custodial— we never hold, control, or have withdrawal access to your funds. Your Kalshi account, API keys, and funds remain entirely under your ownership and control at all times. You can stop the software at any moment, and every order it places is visible and cancelable by you in your own Kalshi account.
The Service includes software execution, a monitoring dashboard, trading parameter configuration tools, and customer support. Cloud tier subscribers also receive managed VPS hosting for the trading bot. The Service also includes a strategy marketplace where trading strategies published by Parachute or by third-party creators can be licensed for use on your own account.
You retain ownership of your trading data. We may use trading telemetry generated by the Service in aggregated or de-identified form, combined across customers, to evaluate strategy performance, improve the Service, and develop new features. Aggregate use never discloses your identity or your individual trading activity, as described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years old, be legally permitted to trade on Kalshi in your jurisdiction, maintain a valid Kalshi account in good standing, and comply with Kalshi's Member Agreement, Kalshi's API Developer Agreement, and all applicable laws and regulations.
3. Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- All trading decisions, including setting position sizes, risk limits, edge thresholds, and all other trading parameters
- Monitoring your account and using the kill switch or revoking API access when appropriate
- Safeguarding your Kalshi API credentials and Parachute account credentials
- Understanding the risks of automated trading before enabling the bot
- Independently reviewing and complying with Kalshi's Member Agreement and API Developer Agreement and all applicable regulations
- Funding your own Kalshi account — Parachute never moves, deposits, or withdraws funds
- Any tax obligations arising from your trading activity
4. What We Do Not Provide
Parachute does not provide investment advice, trading recommendations, or guaranteed returns. We do not manage your funds or make investment decisions on your behalf. The bot executes strategies that you configure or license. Past performance of the software does not guarantee future results.
5. Billing and Subscription
Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe and renew automatically each month until canceled. Setup fees, where applicable, are charged as a one-time invoice. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops your bot but does not affect your Kalshi account or any open positions. No refunds are provided for partial months.
Strategies licensed through the marketplace may carry a recurring algorithm fee set by the strategy's author and disclosed before purchase. Marketplace purchases may be subject to additional terms presented at the time of purchase.
Creator accounts are billed for a full year up front, and that payment is nonrefundable. If you choose a creator account, you pay the remaining balance of a twelve-month term as a one-time charge, in addition to the first month you have already paid. The exact amounts and the length of the term are shown to you before you commit, and you must acknowledge them before anything is charged. Your monthly subscription does not bill again during the covered year. The full annual amount is completely nonrefundable— it is not refunded or prorated if you stop using the Service, cancel your subscription, or your access is terminated during the covered year.
6. Credential Security
Your Kalshi API credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. They are decrypted only in memory during bot execution and are never logged or stored in plaintext. We never have access to your Kalshi account password or your funds.
7. Availability and Outages
The Service depends on third-party infrastructure — Kalshi's exchange and API, our cloud and database providers, and network connectivity — that may be interrupted. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation. During an outage of Parachute's control plane, the trading software continues operating on its last-known configuration and manages existing positions from live exchange data; if it cannot confirm a current configuration for an extended period, it stops opening new positions as a safety measure. You remain responsible for monitoring your account, and you can halt trading at any time via the kill switch or by revoking your API key at Kalshi.
8. Marketplace Strategies
Strategies offered through the marketplace are provided by their authors. Parachute operates the platform on which they are published, benchmarked, and executed, but does not endorse any strategy or represent that any strategy will be profitable. A licensed strategy runs on your account, under your account-level risk limits and schedule, and you may stop it at any time. Additional terms for strategy creators and marketplace transactions will be published as the marketplace expands.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARACHUTE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY TRADING LOSSES, LOST PROFITS, OR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
Parachute is not responsible for losses caused by Kalshi platform outages, API changes, market conditions, software bugs, network failures, or any other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service for non-payment, violation of these Terms, or misuse of the platform. Upon termination, your bot will be stopped and your data will be retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Termination does not affect your Kalshi account or any open positions.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. EU, UK, and California Users
If you are located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information under the laws of your jurisdiction. Those rights, and how to exercise them, are described in our Privacy Policy. Contact us at the address below with any questions.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
